We grow onions from seeds because it offers the great advantage of a wide choice in cultivars. The challenge with starting from seeds is that it takes up to four months to mature.
Each year we experiment with new cultivars as we believe experimentation is a knowledge-building process to make sure we use the best cultivars for our weather conditions.
Sirkel-N grows more or less 250 hectares of onions each year.
